Mike Abdallah
Owner/Operator
“The only time that success comes before work is in the dictionary.” It takes years of work and commitment to your craft before you can consider yourself somewhat successful. That is the kind of work Mike and Rod put in every single day to make every project a success.
Priding himself as a consummate plough horse Mike has always found himself most comfortable with the tool belt around his waist. While he enjoyed working as a site superintendent for some of Calgary’s most prestigious Home builders, Mike always found comfort swinging a hammer instead of clicking a pen. With over 20 years residential and commercial construction experience Mike brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
Mike was fortunate to have met Rod during their stint working for a local home builder. The two developed an instant connection with a shared appreciation for quality of work over quantity and Ashwood Homes was the result.
Rod Gosselin
Owner/Operator
Rod, with his partner Mike, started Ashwood Homes in 2007 after seeing a need in the Calgary market for a more personalized home building experience. His passion for working with homeowners at the ground level and his creative eye for seeing possibilities, lets clients know he has their best interests at heart. His 30 years of experience and background in all aspects of the construction process offers him a unique perspective to guide clients through renovations and new construction projects with both honesty and integrity. As a Journeyman Carpenter himself, it is not unheard of for Rod to pick up a hammer or strap on a tool belt at some point during construction to ensure each project is completed with quality and care from start to finish.
